The bevelled panel is uncradled, flat and stable. The paint surface is relatively clean, and the siny varnish is clear. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals the uneven, fluorescing varnish underneath which spot retouchings are visible scattered throughout, with more notable areas in the woman's proper left sleeve and just above her elbow crease, the largest no more than 1.5 x 15.cm., and the painting appears in overall good condition. Offered in a plain wooden frame with velvet fillets in good condition.
