The canvas is lined, the paint surface is dirty and the varnish is discoloured and uneven. There is evidence of wear in some of the dark areas. There is a small hole in the canvas but not the relining just to the left of the centre of the right margin. Inspection under ultraviolet light the streaky varnish beneath which there appears to be little intervention, save perhaps for an area of restoration in the painting above the right-most figure's head, in the centre of the left margin, and scattered throughout the floor. In overall good condition. Offered in a carved and gesso painted wood frame in good condition.
