The canvas is lined, the paint surface is clean, and the varnish is clear and even. There are no major damages visible to the naked eye. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals fine lines of retouching to areas of the sky, notably in the upper left corner, centre left margin, and in the centre. There are further spot retouchings scattered in the sky, to the right of the left-most boat, and along the lower margin. In overall good condition. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame with minor losses.
