Condition Report

Property from Various Owners is available to view at the Sotheby’s Greenford Park warehouse, 13 and 16 – 18 September (10 - 4pm), by appointment.

The canvas is unlined, the paint surface is slightly dirty, and the varnish is slightly discoloured and uneven. Much of the impasto paintwork, particularly in the clouds, remains intact. There is evidence of a small knock to the reverse of the canvas in the middle of the pine tree trunk on the left with associated paint loss in an area approx. 0.5 x 1 cm. Inspection under ultraviolet light appears to reveal no intervention. In overall good condition.
