Recto: the paint surface is clean with a clear varnish. There is some slight tenting in the centre of the composition, either side of the central figure. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals one small spot of retouching, centre left, next to the tree, but apparently no other intervention.
Verso: the paint surface is clean and the varnish is clear. There are a handful of minor scuffs scattered in the background. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals very minor, scattered retouching along the left and right margins, but no other intervention.
The painting is in overall very good condition.
