Condition Report

Property from Various Owners is available to view at the Sotheby’s Greenford Park warehouse, 13 and 16 – 18 September (10 - 4pm), by appointment.

The canvas is lined, the paint surface is relatively clean, and the varnish only slightly discoloured. There is a slight degree of wear throughout the painting, but it presents well and is legible, and would not appear to require a significant amount of further intervention. Inspection under ultraviolet light is impeded somewhat by the varnish, but there are small, minor retouchings and strengthenings visible to some of the blooms around their silhouettes, as well as in some of the decoration of the urn. The painting is in overall good condition.
