AFTER FRANCOIS DUQUESNOY (1597-1643)
ITALIAN, ROMAN, 18TH CENTURY
BUST OF CUPID
Overall the condition of the bronze is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is particular dirt to the upper lip. There are a few original casting flaws, including to the truncation on the reverse. There are a few very small lacunae, including to the centre of the chest, to the proper left shoulder, and to the hair. There is dark mark and slight abrasion to the proper right shoulder. There are some greenish marks to the proper right cheek.
