CIRCLE OF ADRIAEN JANSZ VAN OSTADE | INTERIOR WITH PEASANTS CAROUSING

In a 2009 letter to the present owner, Dr. Bernhard Schnackenburg suggested that this was a work created in the studio of Adriaen van Ostade, possibly in the 1630s. It could perhaps be a youthful work by Adriaen's extremely talented but sadly short-lived younger brother, Isack van Ostade (1621-1649).
