GOLD, PEARL, RUBY, ENAMEL AND DIAMOND PENDANT, CARLO GIULIANO
Centering a pearl measuring approximately 13.2 x 10.7 x 8.9 mm, accented with single-cut diamonds, further embellished with four pearls measuring approximately 4.7 x 4.0 mm, suspending a pearl drop measuring approximately 6.2 x 5.8 mm, completed by four cabochon rubies, the front applied with blue and white enamel, the surmount of the suspended pearl with black enamel, maker's mark C.G; circa 1880. With a fitted Wartski box.

In good condition, the mounting with light surface scratches and tarnish commensurate with age. The mounting tests as 18 karat gold. Signature C.G located on an applied plaque on the reverse. The reverse of the central pearl appears to have been worked and perhaps filled. The central pearl of white body color with good skin and fair luster. The remaining pearls also of white body color, with good to fair skin and good luster. The rubies are medium light strongly purplish red, moderately included with some surface reaching inclusions, predominantly on the reverse sides. The diamonds are of decorative quality. The pale blue, white, and black enamel in overall good condition, with several small areas of loss visible under 10x magnification. Length approximately 3¾; width approximately 2⅜ inch.
