oil on canvas
46.5 by 55.5cm.; 18¼ by 21¾in.
Executed in 1960.
The canvas is original. There are one or two incredibly fine lines of cracking to the extreme edges of the canvas at the overlap, only visible upon extremely close inspection. There is one fine line of craquelure in the upper right quadrant, only visible upon close inspection. There are a couple of very light scuffs. There is a small amount of rubbing to some of the raised areas of paint. The paint surface is slightly rubbed in other places however this appears to be in keeping with the Artist's intentions. There is some very light surface dirt. This excepting the work appears to be in excellent overall condition.
Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is held in a painted wooden frame.
