Description

PRUNELLA CLOUGH

1919-1999

ISLAND SHED

signed; titled, dated 1954 and inscribed on the Artist's label on the reverse

oil on board

48 by 40cm.; 19 by 15¾in.

Condition Report

The board is sound. There is some slight rounding to the extreme corners and frame abrasion to the extreme edges, with some associated flecks of loss. There are one or two tiny possible flecks of loss towards the lower edge and some very light scruffs. There is some very light surface dirt. This excepting, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.

Inspection under ultra violet light reveals some small areas of fluorescence probably in keeping with the Artist's working methods.

The work is held in a stained wooden frame behind glass.
