LAURENCE STEPHEN LOWRY, R.A.
GROUP OF SIX FIGURES
signed and dated 1968
pencil on paper
35.5 by 25.5cm.; 14 by 10in.
The sheet is secured to the mount with two adhesive tabs along the upper edge, there are the remnants of an old adhesive strip along the upper edge on the reverse of the sheet. There is also a very small old adhesive strip at the centre of the lower edge. The sheet undulates slightly in places, and there are a number of very small creases to the sheet, notably in the upper left corner. There is some time staining to the sheet, not visible in the present mount. There are a number of light scuffs and scratches to the sheet in keeping with the Artist's working methods and intentions. There is surface dirt and studio matter throughout. This excepting the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
The sheet is window mounted and held behind glass in a simple wooden frame.
