The board appears sound. There is possible very minor and historic frame abrasion visible to the extreme left edge. There is a possible pin-head sized fleck of historic paint loss towards the lower edge towards the right and to the hills in the centre with a further spot of historic loss at the lower right corner with a few speckles of historic loss to the sky in places. There are a few instances of accretions within the paint surface, some surface dirt and detritus in places and a layer of varnish. This excepting, the work appears in very good overall condition.

Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.

The work is housed in a wooden frame.
