UNTITLED (SEPT 68)

dated SEPT 68 on the reverse

oil and gouache on board

26½ by 25cm.; 10½ by 10in.

Condition Report

The board appears stable. The right edge of the board undulates and there is a gouge at the right corner. There is some minor abrasion at the extreme edges with some associated minor flecks of paint loss. There is a faint diagonal scuff to the upper left quadrant and a further small vertical scuff at the lower right corner. There is some mottling to the blue pigment in the lower third of the work. There are one or two instances of spots of staining and some light surface dirt at the edges with possible very minor instances of detritus and surface matter in places. This excepting, the work appears in very good overall condition.

Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of retouching.

The work is floated and held within a painted wooden frame.
