The canvas has been lined. There are some frame abrasions to the vertical edges. There is a craquelure pattern across the surface, which appears stable.
Under ultra-violet light, there are retouchings to the edges and also further scattered areas of retouching across the surface.
Held in a gilt plaster frame.
