Patek Philippe initially launched reference 5980 in 2006 at the Basel fair during the 30th anniversary of the celebrated reference 3700. Originally produced in stainless steel, the firm expanded on the design in 2010 by transitioning the dial color to more grey, and offering the reference in a pink gold version.
Possibly one of Patek's most iconic wristwatches, the Nautilus was designed by Gérald Genta, who took inspiration in the shape of a ship's porthole. The striking case design perfectly toes the line between elegance and sporty, making the Nautilus an exceedingly versatile model.
