Reference 2452 was launched in 1949 and produced until 1958. The first series, as seen in the present lot, was fitted with a cal. 10-200 movement with a two piece case manufactured by Dubois, Le Locle as indicated by the master hammer stamp to the inside case back. The second series featured a larger caliber 12-400.
To the best of our knowledge, only about 200 pieces of the first series were produced in yellow gold, and less than 25 pieces have appeared at auction. We are pleased to offer the present lot featuring an exceptionally preserved case with well proportioned and crisp fluted lugs. The dial is striking with signature, minutes scale and subsidiary seconds in hard enamel.
