The present lot formerly belonged to the indomitable Carrie Fisher, which was given to her trusted personal assistant and beloved friend.
Most known for her iconic portrayal of the legendary Princess Leia in Star Wars, Fisher enjoyed an extremely successful career as an actress, script doctor, comedian, and writer.
Carrie Fisher was nominated for numerous awards throughout her life, and her work The Princess Diarist posthumously won a Grammy in 2018 for Best Spoken Word Album. Outside of work, she was a vocal activist for women's advocacy, LGBT causes, and animal welfare. Her work helped shine a light on sensitive subjects, such as addiction and mental illness and helped public awareness and support those affected by them.
