Eighteen cast plaster multiples, 1966, from the edition of approximately 200 (there is also an edition of approximately 72 in silver), each stamped 'Wedding Souvenir Claes Oldenburg Los Angeles 1966' in black ink on the base, commissioned by James Elliott, accompanied by a metal plate stamped with the artist's initials, 'Aug 1990', and 'A cake made of the Wedding Souvenir © 1966 Claes Oldenburg' (18 pieces)

Condition Report

The multiples are in good condition. Each slice with minor surface soiling and spots of discoloration. Spots of wear on the bottom of each. A few with some very inconspicuous chips to the plaster and some tiny accretions. (A few slices with wear to the ink stamps.) The base with a few inconspicuous scuffs, scratches, losses to the paint and some minor surface soiling.
