TERENTIUS AFER, PUBLIUS

16mo (118 x 638mm.), ruled in red, with both final blanks, contemporary calf gilt with coloured strapwork interlacing, gilt edges, joints and corners neatly repaired

The design on this binding, with the coloured interlacing and arabesque stamps, is very similar to a Grolier binding from the workshop of Gommar Estienne (see Jean Grolier à la Bibliothèque nationale de France, Paris, 2012, no.35).
