La Nouvelle Justine ou les malheurs de la vertu, suivie de l'histoire de Juliette sa soeur. En Hollande [Brussels], 1797 [i.e. 1870s] 


10 volumes, 12mo (147 x 90mm.), half-titles, Justine: 4 engraved frontispieces and 40 engraved plates; Juliette: 60 engraved plates, contemporary half burgundy morocco, top edges gilt and others uncut, pencil annotations, one plate from vol.1 bound in vol.4, a few plates slightly torn, some hinges broken and a few leaves becoming loose, extremities rubbed


A later reprint of de Sade's notorious novels of misplaced virtue and rewarded vice. The 1797 Dutch edition was the first to contain this version of the text together with the engravings.
