Sermones vademecum. [Strassburg: Johann Prüss, c. 1487-1492]


4to (203 x 140mm.), 230 leaves, a-m8.8.6.6.6.6 n-q8 r-z [et] [con] A-C8.8.6.6.6.6 D-G8 H6, 40 lines plus headline, gothic type, blind-tooled half pigskin over wooden bords, two clasps, title lettered on foredge, occasional slight damp-staining, small wormhole towards end, H3 slightly damaged at lower corner, rebacked, one clasp defective, a few small wormholes in binding


Johannes Vercellensis was General of the Dominican Order in the later thirteenth century. Johann Prüss printed another edition around the same time, [c. 1488-1491], ISTC ij00443000, and these two are the only recorded incunabular editions.
