This first Aldine edition of the medical works of Celsus and Serenus, was one of the last books printed before the death of Andrea Torresani in October that year. It was edited by Giovanni Battista Egnazio and dedicated to Cardinal Ercole Gonzaga, who had provided him with a copy of the text.
