4to (193 x 126mm.), 4 leaves, 34 lines, gothic type, 2-line initial spaces, nineteenth-century green morocco lettered in gilt on upper cover


Pierre Carré, a Dominican, was bishop of Orange and Charles VIII's ambassador to the Vatican, where he gave this oration in 1485. The second speech on behalf of the state of Siena was given earlier, on 30 October 1484, and was previously printed (ISTC is00488000).
