TWO JADE 'CHILONG' PLAQUES
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
comprising of a pale celadon jade plaque set with two knobs at the back and a celadon jade plaque, each similarly decorated with a sinuous chilong amidst curling leafy scrolls issuing a lingzhi bloom
Length of larger 7.3 cm, 2⅞ in.
The first plaque has a tiny nick to one edge; the other is in good condition. It should be noted that both plaques are of a less yellow tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
