with the preferred disciple Kedrup shown in the lower left hand corner outside the Ganden monastery performing a ritual offering after the death of his master Tsongkhapa during which Tsongkhapa suddenly manifests himself to him on a cloud depicted to the right of the painting, with the paradise of Maitreya depicted in the upper right hand corner and the realm of gods in the upper left hand corner
66 by 42.8 cm, 26 by 16⅞ in.
There are overall losses to the pigments and minor creases across the painting, some losses to the borders revealing the cloth underneath, and a horizontal split (ca. 7.3 cm) towards to the bottom of the painting.
