QING DYNASTY, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
of compressed spherical form, cleverly carved in low relief using the different tones of the stone, to the front face a monkey seated on a cliff, the reverse with a deer, coral inlaid gilt-metal stopper
Height 7.6 cm, 3 in.
There is a very tiny nicks to the rim of the bottle. There are some wear and rubbing to the stopper, with some malachite encrustations visible.
