brightly decorated to the exterior with stylised shou roundels alternating with flying bats amidst swirling clouds, all between a band of stylised ruyi and a band of lappet panels enclosing lotus blooms, the neck decorated with archaistic motifs below further lotus blooms, all reserved on a turquoise ground
Height 12.5 cm, 4⅞ in.
There are some characteristic pitting and light surface wear. Examination under the UV light reveals a number of small restorations, including to the turquoise ground under the rim (ca. 2.5 x 0,4 cm).
