cast standing and wearing long robes decorated with scrolling foliage edges and ruyi clouds, opening at the chest to reveal a jewelled necklace, the face with a serene expression framed by elaborately coiffed hair beneath the cowl, inlaid in silver to the back with a four-character mark reading Yutang Shishou
Height 49.5 cm, 19½ in.
There are general rubbing to the inlaid and wear to the surface, one finger of the right hand was replaced. The separately cast right hand has been secured with two screws, and some flakes are visible on both hands.
