QING DYNASTY, 17TH/18TH CENTURY
carved standing with both hands holding a basket of lingzhi funguses and peaches, wearing layered robes detailed with floral borders and stylised cloud motifs, highlighted with black and gold pigment, supported on a rockwork base of mottled red and cream colour
Height 34.2 cm, 13½ in.
There are general wear and scratches to the surface, losses of pigments and chips to the extremities, including to the fruits in the centre of the basket. Some yellow residue is visible to the lower edge of the base.
