DAOGUANG SEAL MARK AND PERIOD
清道光 青花纏枝蓮紋盌 《大清道光年製》款
with deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to an everted rim, painted around the exterior with a broad lotus scroll band above lotus lappets, the interior centred with a lotus medallion, the base with the six-character seal mark in underglaze-blue
Diameter 16.9 cm, 6⅝ in.
Formerly in a private French collection, purchased in Beijing by the chairman of Bank of Indochina prior to 1946 (by repute).
