SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND PENDANT


Composed of three cushion-shaped sapphires weighing 4.17, 6.12 and 6.66 carats respectively, each within a border of brilliant-cut diamonds, British hallmark, to a belcher link chain necklace, length approximately 450mm, Italian maker's mark.

Condition Report

Accompanied by three gemmological reports: reports no. 15538, 15537 and 15533 from the Gem & Pearl Laboratory, dated 06/04/2018, stating that the three sapphires are of Sri-Lankan origin, with no evidence of heat treatment.


Pendant with British hallmarks for 18 carat gold, London, date letter U for 2019, sponsor's mark MIN. Chain stamped 750, Italian maker's mark 348 AR. Sapphires medium to light violetish-blue, transparent, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface-reaching, some areas of very minor wear to facet edges. Each sapphire measuring approximately 9.4 x 8.1 x 5.4mm, 10.1 x 9.0 x 6.8mm and 11.6 x 10.4 x 5.9mm. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.90 - 1.00 carats. Some very light scratches to surfaces consistent with wear, overall in very good condition. Chain clasp secure. Pendant measuring approximately 54 x 14mm. Gross weight approximately 14.1 grams.
