Designed as an oyster composed of textured gold, accented with a starfish motif centering a round diamond of brown hue, opening to reveal a mirror and powder compartment, gross weight approximately 77 dwts, signed M. Buccellati, Italy. With fitted pouch.

In very good condition, with some small areas of tarnish, predominantly around the star motif, and with minor scratches to the interior. Inscribed 750 for 18 karat (white and yellow) gold. Also inscribed 96 perhaps referring to the date. The round diamond estimated to weigh approximately 0.25 carat, of light brown hue, with a cavity to the table visible under close inspection. Interior fitted with a removeable frame (included). Frame removable and may be fitted with a screen for use with powder (mesh screen not included). Dimensions approximately 3 x 2⅛ x ¾ inch. Bears considerable heft; gross weight approximately 77 dwts. Please note that the diamond of brown hue has not been tested for natural origin of color.
