The necklace featuring three floral motifs, centering clusters of round pink sapphires, the petals set with oval-shaped amethysts, on a double snake chain accented with gold leaves, and a similarly-set ring with an articulated flowerhead, the central floral motif in the necklace detachable for wear as a clip-brooch, the smaller motifs detachable for wear as earclips, necklace length 15¾ inches, ring size 6½, necklace signed Van Cleef & Arpels, ring, earclips and clip-brooch signed VCA, each piece numbered, the necklace, earclips and clip-brooch with French assay and workshop marks, the ring with French import mark.
In good condition, with very minor surface scratches to the mountings. The articulated flowerhead on the ring moves freely. Clasp on the snake chain with French assay mark for gold and French workshop mark. Reverse side of leaf on necklace mounting signed Van Cleef & Arpels, inscribed 750 for 18 karat gold, and numbered BL 79620. The detachable central clip-brooch signed VCA, stamped with French workshop and assay marks for gold, inscribed 750, and numbered BL 79620. Earclips each signed VCA, stamped with French workshop and assay marks for gold, inscribed 750, and numbered BL 79620. The ring signed VCA, inscribed 750, and with French import mark for gold, partially numbered BL 81950-51. The pink sapphires are medium light pink, eye clean to slightly included. The amethysts are medium violetish purple, eye clean to slightly included. Diameter of flowerhead on clip brooch approximately 1¼ inch. Diameter of flowerheads on earclips approximately ¾ inch. Diameter of flowerhead on ring approximately 1 inch. Necklace closes securely with use of the safety catch.
