PERIDOT AND DIAMOND CLIP-BROOCH, JEAN SCHLUMBERGER, PARIS
Centered on an oval-shaped peridot, set within a domed surround of round peridot, embellished with three floral motifs set with single-cut diamonds, signed Schlumberger, Paris, with French assay and workshop marks.
A brooch of similar design set with aquamarines is illustrated in The Jewels of Schlumberger, published in conjunction with the exhibition "Un diamant dans la ville" held at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, 1996, p. 38.
