PAIR OF PERIDOT AND DIAMOND EARRINGS
Suspending two pear-shaped peridots, topped by two emerald-cut peridots, framed and accented by old mine and Swiss-cut diamonds; circa 1880 with later modifications.
In good condition, the mountings with surface scratches, scuffs and discoloration, commensurate with age and wear, not noticeable when worn. Mounted in silver-topped 14 karat gold. The peridots, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 35.00 carats, are medium yellowish green, slightly included, with a few abrasions noticeable only under 10x magnification. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 4.60 carats, are predominantly G-K color, VS-SI clarity with a few I1 examples; one diamond appears to be a later replacement. Pear-shaped pendant is detachable on one earring. Length including ear wire approximately 2½ inches.
