GEM-SET AND DIAMOND CLIP-BROOCH, DAVID WEBB, AND PAIR OF EARCLIPS, CARTIER
The clip-brooch of scalloped design, featuring turquoise cabochons, highlighted with lines of round sapphires, accented by round diamonds, further set with cultured pearls measuring from approximately 6.2 to 4.9 mm, signed Webb; and a pair of earclips designed as whales, set with turquoise cabochons, the tails decorated with round diamonds, each with a sapphire cabochon eye, signed Cartier, Made in France, numbered 55065, with French export and workshop marks.
Clip-Brooch: In good condition, with surface scratches to the mounting commensurate with age and wear. Stamped Plat 18K for platinum and gold. The diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.95 carat are approximately F-G color, VS clarity. The sapphires are medium blue, eye clean to moderately included. The turquoise is light very strongly greenish blue, some cabochons slightly yellowed, a few cabochons with small areas of matrix. The cultured pearls are of white to cream bodycolor, with soft rose overtones, with good to fair skin and luster. Overall dimensions approximately 1¾ x 2¼ inches.
Earclips: In good condition with light surface scratches commensurate with wear. French export marks for platinum and 18 karat gold. The turquoise cabochons are light to medium light very strongly greenish blue, some cabochons are translucent. The sapphire cabochons are medium blue, slightly included. The diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.30 carat are bright and lively. Each measuring approximately 1⅜ x ⅝ inch.
