DIAMOND PENDANT-NECKLACE, FRANCE
The geometric open work pendant-brooch centering a trio of old European-cut diamonds, suspending a similarly-cut diamond weighing 3.50 carats, the pendant-brooch and detachable chain further accented with smaller old European, rose, single and table-cut diamonds, length 22½ inches, with French assay and workshop marks; circa 1920.
In good condition, with minor surface scratches and tarnish to the mounting commensurate with age and wear. French assay marks for gold and for combined platinum and gold. The five largest diamonds weighing approximately 3.50, 2.50, 2.50, 2.30, and 1.60 carats range in color and clarity from approximately J-L color and VS-I clarity. The remaining diamonds weighing approximately 11.20 carats, of similar colors and clarities. Brooch may be detached from diamond-set chain by unscrewing it. Clasp closes securely and is fitted with a safety chain. Brooch dimensions approximately 1¾ x 1⅝ inches.
