'The Gentleman's Magazine and Historical Chronicle. Volume XLVI. For the Year M.DCCLXXVI'. London: D. Henry, 1776


Twelve issues bound into one volume (8 3/16 x 4 7/8in.; 206 x 125mm). 14 plates, 9 of which folding; small hole to pp. 157-158, some margins just shaved, minor offsetting, minor foxing, one or two small ink stains. Contemporary gray boards backed with brown morocco, edges speckled red; lower board detached, overall rubbed. In morocco-backed slipcase, spine gilt-lettered.


Likely the first printing of the "Declaration of Independence" in Britain (pp. 361-362)
