2 vols., 4to (9 x 6 5/8 in.; 228 x 169 mm [vol. 1]; 8 1/4 x 5 5/8 in.; 209 x 149 mm [vol. 2]). Roman types, titles with woodcut ornaments within double-ruled borders, vol. 1 text within ruled borders with inner and outer margins for side-notes, woodcut initials (many historiated), head- and tailpieces; lacking the engraved titles "found in some copies" (Herbert); lacks Eeee1–4 in vol. 1 and errata leaf and final blank in vol. 2; vol. 1 title extended and remargined at top, soiled and with marginal repair, some other tears and repairs, scattered soiling, first few gatherings of vol. 2 detached with front cover. Twentieth-century brown morocco; rubbed (vol. 1); seventeenth-century panelled calf; very rubbed, front cover detached (vol. 2). Sold with all faults, not subject to return.

Second edition Douay-Rheims Old Testament (however, only the first the leaves of the second volume I are from the 1635 edition; the rest are from the 1609–1610 edition, STC 2207). According to Henry Cotton, not a single edition of this version was published for a period of 115 years after 1635.

Inserted is a card from Henry Guppy, Librarian of the John Rylands Library, 4 March 1929, to Arthur Burrell, pointing out "Your second volume is of the first edition of 1610, and not of the second edition of 1635."
