signed Léon Richet (lower left)
oil on canvas
21⅛ by 31¼ in.

Lined. There is slight rippling to the canvas. There is scattered barely perceptible craquelure; a few isolated accretions and faint areas of abrasion; and a small vertical surface scratch under the figure's feet at left. Blanched inpainting visible in the trees at upper left and at the horizon line at lower center. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. In addition to the aforementioned inpainting, there is a 3 inch horizontal repair extending from the rightmost tree on the left side; a few sparse dots of retouching; and brushy inpainting along the upper edge. Ready to hang in its current state.
