Lined. The surface presents well. There is faint, fine craquelure across the picture surface and very minor surface dirt and dust. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. There is a 1 inch circular area of restoration at upper right, and finely applied restoration to the camel's head and part of the trunk of the palm tree at center left. There are scattered, finely applied dashes of retouching on and around the figures, on the cacti and in the upper left corner. Scattered dots of fine inpainting in the sky. Ready to hang in its current state.
