Original unlined condition. The work maintains fresh, bright colors. There is some fine, hairline craquelure throughout. A small abrasion is visible in the top left corner. There is a horizontal line of faint abrasion running parallel to the lower edge. Under UV: there is brushy inpainting to the aforementioned abrasion near the lower edge. There are a few spots of retouching, including: in the man's beard, neck of tunic; in the background, along the lower and left edges; in the sofa; and a few spots in the woman's right arm. Ready to hang in its current state.
