There are several nicks to the enamel, some with associated paint loss, notably to the lower part of one of the legs, to the opposite shoulder and to the tips of the lightning bolts. There are further nicks and paint losses to the base and the top surface of the base, the top surface of which is scratched.

He appears in the Book of Enoch and the theosophical teachings of the 19th century Russian spiritualist Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. It was Barakiel who taught man the art of astrology and he is master of meteorological phenomena and electricity.
