THE BEATLES--SOUVENIR PRESS.

A collection of material relating to Meet the Beatles by press officer Tony Barrow, and related publications by Souvenir Press, comprising:

(i) Brian Epstein, document signed, publisher's contract for Meet The Beatles, 3 pages, foolscap, 18 July 1963; (ii) Production file for Meet the Beatles by Tony Barrow, including a paste-up of the book with photocopy images and text, also mock-up titles (a combination of hand-drawn and dry transfer lettering), two notes from NEMS Enterprises requesting textual amendments, and two press photographs of the band (in envelope labelled "not used"); (iii) file of photographs of The Beatles and the Liverpool scene, including 30 sheets of contact prints of Brian Epstein and The Beatles, four sheets of contact prints and 16 colour slides of Twiggy, 23 photographs of the Cavern Club and Liverpool celebrities by Peter Kaye and others, mostly vintage prints but including five colour slides; (iv) "The Beatles Film Book", uncorrected galley proofs, four sets, with manuscript mock-up title page, rustmarks; (v) file of typescript articles for a proposed series for the music press, including four entitled "Beatles Calling!" attributed to each of the four Beatles, "The Girl That I Marry by Cliff Richard", and "Tying Yourself in Knots by Cilla Black", all copyright John Hill Productions, each present in multiple copies, rustmarks; (vi) file of press releases by Derek Taylor, press officer to The Beatles, 1960s; (vii) 3 copies of Meet The Beatles with five other related publications
