Royal letters patent, with engrossed capitals, confirming a grant of lands to Sir John Puckering, Lord Keeper, and his son Thomas, including "Abbye Woode als Warden Woode" in Bedfordshire, one vellum membrane (300 x 540mm), 11 January 1594, endorsed, with a complete pendant impression of the Second Great Seal in brown wax (155 mm diameter), rubbed 

The second Great Seal of Queen Elizabeth I, in use from 1586 to 1603, was designed by Nicholas Hilliard. COMPLETE EXAMPLES OF THIS COMPELLING PIECE OF ELIZABETHAN ICONOGRAPHY ARE RARE ON THE MARKET.
