Overall in very good condition. When viewed firsthand, the shade displays a vibrant gold and yellow hue with pink, orange and lavender iridescence and beautifully articulated wave decoration. The glass with scattered extremely minor and fine surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. The glass with scattered occasional minor surface irregularities, air bubbles, and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The bottom edge of the shade with a small air bubble on the surface which is inherent in the making and only visible upon close inspection. The interior of the shade with some traces of adhesive residue and remnants of an old label, not visually distracting. The base is in overall very good condition. The blown glass urn of the base is from the “R” series and features “millefiori” decorations in subdued golden hues amidst a dynamic network of whiplash vines and leaves over a deep indigo ground. The glass is applied with a highly complementary seafoam green and lavender iridescence. The glass with scattered, extremely minor and fine surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling and with some scattered extremely minor surface irregularities inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The bronze surfaces with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions and light wear to the patina and some occasional extremely minor discolorations consistent with age and gentle use. The bottom edge of the foot with two small losses to the patina, one measuring approximately 1/8 inch wide and the other measuring approximately 3/4 inch wide. The shade arms are in very good condition with some traces of old adhesive residue at the ends. The base retains its original burner unit and is also offered together with a later electrical conversion unit. A rare and extremely charming work with complementary shade and base pairing.
