Condition report

Overall in very good condition. The shade is executed in dichroic glass in the upper register, which presents green when viewed with reflected light and presents fiery orange when viewed with remitted light. The shade with approximately 17 cracks dispersed throughout, stable. The shade with some extremely minor traces of surface soiling concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines, consistent with age. The Grueby base with some scattered extremely minor surface irregularities inherent in the glaze. The base has been examined under blacklight and does not present with any evidence of prior restoration. The bronze surfaces with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, light wear, and light surface soiling and oxidation consistent with age and gentle handling. The oil canister fits slightly loosely within the Grueby base. With period sockets.
