Property From The Estate Of Marion Stone, Chicago
21 x 16 x 12¾ in. (53.3 x 40.6 x 32.3 cm)
Overall excellent condition. A truly artistic example of Chihuly's use of glass thread drawing. The glass surface presents with some air bubbles, particle inclusions, and surface irregularities inherent to the making and not visually detractive. Glass also presents with light surface scratches and a minor area of residue concentrated to the surface close to the pontil mark consistent with age and gentle use. The interior of the form is executed in fine and soft magenta reds, complementing the cool sea foam green of the exterior.
