Property From a Private Manhattan Collection
"RONDINS" TABLE LAMP
mahogany, copper nailing, parchment shade
with artist's stamp FRANCE/SORNAY/BREVETE/ETRANGER
18 in. (45.7 cm) high
19⅛ in. (48.7 cm) diameter of shade
Overall in very good condition. The lamp appears to retain its original brass hardware and presents with a sensitively replaced parchment shade consistent with the original design of the model. The rich mahogany surfaces present with light scratches throughout as well as a small chip to the lamp’s wooden neck measuring approximately 1/4 inch wide and not visually distracting. The nailing appears original and intact. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and recommends having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
